This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for March 13, 2008:
Going to college after 30 years since I graduated high school.

Me too! I just finished my bachelors and I am on to my masters. Wasn't it amazing to be an adult learner!
Yes, I agree it is a totally liberating experience. After 2 terms I still have a 4.0 GPA and I still feel like I know nothing. It is like I knew what they are teaching me but didn't know I knew it. Does that make sense?

I finished with a 3.35 and had to take math, statisitics and french!!! I had 0 college and my GED from 1975. I was terrified, but you are right once you got into the grove it was exhilarating and not terrifying any more and you realized your brain functioned better than it did when you were 16,
After 2 terms you know a lot, you are just pushing it back onto the burner for the next round!
Well I guess by reaching for the moon you will reach the stars. I am going on my 3rd term and my next few terms are even more difficult. I never took algrebra in school and this is college. I always figured if a+b = X I would be in an English class, Thanks for your support,

I got pregnant at 16, my math skills were 1+1= 3!!!!
Get a tutor, its the only way I could do it. I work on a college campus and went to every free math help I could find. Do your best , look how far you have already come!!!
Thank you so much for the support. My understanding is they have online tutors available through out the whole course. On top of that one of my friends from last October term is great in Algebra and she said she will give it to me in layman's terms. lol
And you are right I have come far and I plan on making it all the way to a masters.
